📸 Adding Photos to Your Recordings

Wave now lets you snap photos during a recording—so your audio summaries come with helpful visuals too.

🔍 Why Add Visuals?

Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words. Adding images to your recordings can give Wave’s AI more context, leading to smarter, more accurate summaries. Use visuals to:

  • Capture slides and graphs from a lecture or conference

  • Document printed materials like memos or mail

  • Snap a whiteboard or projector mid-meeting

Wave recording with camera feature

🛠 How It Works

Start a recording like you normally would.

Tap the 📸 camera icon on the recording screen.

Snap a photo—Wave will automatically associate it with that moment in the session.

You can take multiple photos in one session. Each image gets used by our AI to better understand what was going on.

✨ Pro Tip: Visuals improve your AI summary

If you snap a photo of key info—like a slide titled Quarterly Strategy—Wave may emphasize that content more in your final summary.

🧠 What You Can Use Visuals For

Lecture content (e.g., complex charts, equations, speaker slides)
Printed docs (e.g., reports, letters, handouts)
Whiteboards or post-its from a brainstorm
Screen-shares or projected content during calls

📍Where to Find Your Photos Later

After your session, any images you captured will appear alongside the audio summary and transcript.
