Earn with the Wave Partner Program
Share Wave with the people who'd get the most out of it — and get paid every month while they stay subscribed.
How it works
Every Wave account can turn on the Partner Program in a couple of taps. You get a personal referral link like invite.wave.co/yourname. Anyone who signs up through your link and becomes a paying subscriber earns you 30% of their subscription revenue for 12 months.
That's real, recurring money — not a one-time $5 kickback. A handful of referred subscribers can cover your own subscription and then some.
Getting your link
On the mobile app: Settings → Earn → Partner Program
On the web app: visit app.wave.co/account/partner
On the desktop app: click Partners in the left sidebar
First time you open it, your referral link is created automatically. Copy it and share it wherever you'd like — TikTok, X, a podcast episode, a newsletter, a text to a friend.
Customizing your handle
Don't love the default link? On the web dashboard you can pick a custom handle (3–32 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens). For example, change invite.wave.co/abc123 to invite.wave.co/jessica.
Old links keep working. If you've already shared your original link somewhere, those clicks still attribute to you. Adding a custom handle is additive — nothing breaks.
Tracking your earnings
Inside the Partner Program dashboard you'll see:

Paid conversions
Total earnings so far
Everything updates in real time. Commissions earned during the month are finalized after a 30-day holding period, then paid out.
Getting paid
Once you've earned at least $20, tap Manage payouts on your Partner Program screen. You'll set up your payout method — bank account (ACH), PayPal, or card — through our partner, Dub. That's also where you'll provide the tax info we need (W-9 for U.S. partners, W-8 for everyone else).
We process payouts monthly.
What counts as a conversion
A new customer who signs up through your link and starts a paid subscription counts.
Free accounts that never upgrade don't earn commission.
Refunds within 30 days reverse the commission (rare, but worth knowing).
The 12-month clock starts from the customer's first paid transaction. If they upgrade or renew within those 12 months, you earn on those payments too.
Tips that actually work
Talk about the problem, not the product. "I finally stopped losing meeting notes" beats "Wave is an AI note-taker."
Show the output. A screenshot of a well-summarized recording converts much better than a feature list.
Be honest about what it's not. People trust recommendations that come with a caveat or two.
Think about fit. Students, consultants, sales reps, journalists, and founders who sit in a lot of meetings are your highest-converting audiences.
Rules of the road
No spam, no paid search ads on Wave's brand terms, no incentivized downloads on shady install networks.
No self-referrals. Using your own link to sign up a second account you control will result in reversed commissions and, if repeated, removal from the program.
We reserve the right to remove any partner who materially harms the Wave brand.
