How to Connect Wave to Claude

Give Claude access to your Wave meetings — search transcripts, pull summaries, and reference past conversations right inside a Claude chat. Step by step, no code.

Connecting Wave to Claude lets Claude reach into your meetings. Once it's set up, you can ask Claude things like "What did we decide in yesterday's call?" or "Summarize my meetings about the budget" — and it answers using your actual Wave transcripts and summaries.

It takes about a minute and there's no code involved. Just follow the steps below.

Before you start

  • A Wave account (the same one you record with).

  • The Claude app — this works in Claude on the web (claude.ai) and in the Claude desktop app.

  • A paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). Custom connectors aren't available on the free plan.

Step by step

  1. Open Claude and click your name / Settings in the bottom-left.

  2. Click Connectors.

  3. Click Add custom connector.

  4. For the name, type Wave.

  5. For the URL, paste: https://mcp.wave.co

  6. Click Add (or Connect).

  7. A browser window opens. Sign in to Wave if asked, then click Allow to give Claude access.

  8. That's it — Wave now shows up as a connector in Claude.

How to use it

Start any chat and just ask, for example:

  • "Search my Wave meetings for anything about pricing."

  • "Summarize my last call with the design team."

  • "What were the action items from Monday's standup?"

The first time Claude uses Wave in a chat, it may ask for permission — click Allow. Everything is read-only: Claude can look at your Wave data but can't change or delete anything.

Using Claude Code (for developers)

If you use Claude Code in the terminal, you can connect Wave with one command instead:

claude mcp add --transport http wave https://mcp.wave.co

Then type /mcp inside Claude Code and follow the prompt to sign in.

Not working?

  • No "Connectors" option? You need a paid Claude plan, and your app may need updating.

  • Won't connect? Remove it and add it again, making sure the URL is exactly https://mcp.wave.co.

  • Want to disconnect? You can revoke access anytime at Settings → Integrations in Wave.
