Connect Wave to Notion
Send Wave sessions into your Notion workspace as full pages — summary, action items, and transcript — by hand or automatically.
Connect a Notion workspace and Wave can turn any session into a Notion page — the recording date, the summary, your action items, and the speaker-labelled transcript, with the Wave icon on top.
Connect your workspace
When it's done the screen shows Sharing to: followed by the page Wave will export into.
Sharing a page with Wave isn't optional. Wave needs both a token and a parent page to export, so a connection with no shared pages counts as not connected — on the web you'll see "Notion connected, but no pages were shared. Reconnect and select at least one page so Wave can export to it."
Where your pages land
Wave picks the parent page for you: the first page it finds at the root of your workspace, or, if there isn't one, the first page you shared with it. Everything it exports becomes a child page of that one. There's no picker for this — if you want a different parent, share the page you want with Wave in Notion and run Re-login with Notion, which re-runs the pick.
Send a session
By hand. Open a session, open Share and Export, and tap Export to Notion. On the web, the button is Notion under Integrations in the Share & Export dialog, and Wave confirms with Exported to Notion. On desktop it's the Notion tile under Export destinations, with the confirmation Exported to Notion!
Automatically. Turn on Auto-share to Notion — it's on the Notion settings page itself, and on the Auto-share screen with all the other destinations. Every session that finishes processing then creates its own page.
Whether the transcript rides along is controlled by Include Transcript in the share sheet for manual exports, and by Include transcript on the Auto-share screen for automatic ones.
Disconnect and reconnect
Tap Disconnect on the same settings page. On mobile and the web app this also switches Notion auto-share off, so Wave stops trying to reach a workspace you've dropped.
To reconnect, just run the connect flow again. On mobile, Re-login with Notion is the button to use when the connection is alive but you want Wave to re-pick the parent page.
Common failures
- "Notion access was revoked. Please reconnect Notion." — you removed Wave from Notion's connections, or the token expired. Wave clears the dead token so the app prompts you to connect again.
- "Your Notion parent page is no longer accessible. Pick a new one." or "Your Notion parent page is in the trash. Restore it or pick another." — the page Wave was exporting into was deleted, trashed, or unshared. Restore it in Notion, or reconnect so Wave picks a new parent.
- "Notion is rate-limiting requests. Please try again in a moment." — Notion is throttling. Wait and export again; auto-share will pick up the next session normally.
- Notion Needs Reconnecting on the web — same as the first case. Reconnect from Settings → Integrations.
