Add a Wave to Favorites
Mark the recordings you keep coming back to, then pull them up with one filter on any device.
Favoriting a recording gives you a one-tap shortlist — the interview you keep quoting, the lecture you're still studying, the call you have to follow up on. Favorites sync across your phone, the web app, and Wave Desktop.
Marking a favorite
Wave uses a heart on mobile. Any of these work:
- Open the recording and tap the heart next to its title.
- Swipe a row in the list and tap Favorite.
- Long-press a row and choose Favorite from the Actions sheet.
Tap again — the action reads Unfavorite — to take it off the list.
Favoriting several at once
Multi-select has a favorite action on every platform. Select the recordings you want, then:
- iPhone & Android — tap Favorite in the toolbar.
- Web — the toolbar has separate Favorite and Unfavorite buttons. Wave clears the ticks afterwards but leaves multi-select on, so re-pick the rows for the next action.
- Desktop — click Favorite in the bar under the list.
Full walkthrough: bulk actions.
On iPhone and Android, bulk Favorite flips each selected recording rather than setting them all on — so a mixed selection ends up inverted. Wave Desktop's bulk Favorite only adds; unfavorite there from the right-click menu.
Seeing only your favorites
Tap the filter dropdown at the top of the Home tab and choose Favorites. Until you've starred anything, the screen reads No Favorites Yet — Your favorite recordings will appear here.
Removing a favorite
Unfavorite the same way you favorited: tap or click the heart or star again, or use the Unfavorite / Remove from favorites action. The recording stays exactly where it was — it just drops out of the Favorites view. Nothing is deleted.
For heavier organizing, put recordings in folders instead — a recording can be favorited and filed at the same time.
