Wave app installed on your iPhone
iOS 13 or later
(Optional) iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max with Action Button
1. Add Wave to Siri Shortcuts
Open Wave
Launch the Wave app on your iPhone.Go to Settings
Tap the ⚙️ Settings icon in the bottom‑right corner.Find “Add to Siri” Options
Under Preferences, choose:Add to Siri – Start Recording
Add to Siri – Inbound Call
Record Your Shortcut
Default phrases are “Start a new Wave recording” and “Start Wave Phone Bridge.”
To personalize, tap Change Voice Phrase, speak your own command, and tap Done.
2. Assign to the Action Button (iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max)
Open iOS Settings
Go to Settings → Action Button.Select Your Shortcut
Under Press and Hold, choose Wave – Start Recording (or your customized phrase).Test It
A long press or single press (per your button settings) should trigger Siri and kick off a Wave recording instantly.
3. Using Your New Workflow
By Voice:
“Hey Siri, Start a new Wave recording.”With Action Button:
Press the Action Button → Siri confirms → recording begins.
This gets you into recording mode without tapping through any menus—perfect for meetings, interviews, or quick ideas on the go.
