Emailing Your Wave Summaries

Get every summary in your inbox automatically, or email a single session to yourself or someone else.

Wave can put a summary in your inbox the moment a recording finishes, and you can email any individual session on demand. Both use the same email — the session title as the subject, the summary in the body, and the transcript underneath if you want it.

Every session, automatically

Auto-send email is on by default. When a recording finishes processing, Wave emails you the summary at your account address.

To change it, open the Wave mobile app and go to Settings → Sharing & Export → Auto-share. Under Email you'll find Auto-send completed sessions — "Email the summary (and optionally the transcript) to your account email." The Include transcript switch further down that screen controls whether the full transcript comes along.

Auto-share settings live in the mobile app, but they apply to everything on your account — a meeting recorded by a bot, a desktop recording, a phone call, an import. The same screen can also auto-file every session into Notion, Google Docs, OneNote, or Evernote. See auto-share.

Emailing one session

Open the session, tap the share icon, and tap Send via Email in Share and Export. The address it will use is shown right under the button.

If you've saved alternative addresses, a chevron appears beside it. Tap that to open Select Email Address and pick between Primary (your account email) and any alternative, each shown with the label you gave it.

The Include Transcript toggle at the top of the share sheet decides whether the email contains the full transcript as well as the summary. It's the same switch every other export uses, and Wave remembers where you left it.

Where the email goes

Wave sends to the email address on your account. To change it, open the mobile app and go to Settings → Account → Email.

To send to more than one address, add them under Settings → Account → Alternative Emails — up to 10. Saved addresses show up in the picker on mobile and in the dropdown on the web. Full details in alternative emails.
